How ‘Natural’ are Natural Ingredients?
This is my quick take on the subject of natural ingredients: They come in what I believe are 5 levels:
1 – Totally 100% natural, means that the bottle is full of the actual plants, roots, flowers and leaves. Would be impossible to apply to the skin or apply to the scalp or even take internally for that matter.
2 – Then you get an infusion of the extracts….which means getting all the actives out of the plant. This is also totally 100% natural.
3 – The next level is ingredients that are naturally derived, meaning that a natural ingredient was used to turn it into a functional ingredient that can help is all kinds of way, such as help the absorption, spreadability, and overall effectiveness of the product.
4 – Ingredients that are basically known to be safe…things that do not contain any of the bad stuff like NaCl, SLF, phthalates, parabens and formadehydes.
5 – Toxic, harmful ingredients.
We focus to use as much on levels 2 and 3 as possible. There is no such thing as 100% natural, as that would be all raw material.
NONE OF THE BAD STUFF
My research team and I have made a huge effort to avoid and never use ingredients that are harmful, toxic or known to cause allergies and cause all kinds of ailments.
In these formulations you get the best of the best. We stay away from harsh chemicals like Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Phthalates, artificial colouring, parabens, formaldehyde, sodium chloride (salt).
And we always will!
